The Flawed Heart of Perfection
Codeslaw began as a simple typo of "code is law." Over time, it became a sharp insight: even systems governed by math must face human reality.
This work reflects that lesson. "Code is law" promised total control and unbreakable rules. The 2016 DAO exploit showed otherwise. Hackers used the system exactly as it was written to drain funds. Ethereum had to choose: follow the rules and accept the loss, or change the chain and compromise its ideals. The split created Ethereum Classic.
Codeslaw captures that moment. It shows that logic alone cannot run the world. Systems need human judgment. Governance is rarely simple, and every human-built system carries marks of imperfection. This piece celebrates that understanding. It honors resilience and adaptability, showing that true strength grows where fragility meets wisdom.
